Chando lives with her family in New York City. Chando was a student at Manhattan College before becoming an actress. Chando performed the role of Maddie Coleman, the lead character of As the World is turning from 2005 until 2007, and then returned to the role for a short duration of time that began in late 2009. Alexandra first made an acting appearance in 2002 with the TV show House Blend portraying the role of Jenna Harper. She played Maddie Coleman in the CBS soap As the World Turns for three years. Chando first appeared on TV in True life (an American documentary) in late 2009. In 2009, she made her TV debut in another documentary she was a guest on Sherri, a show on TV. The actress starred in two episodes of the American drama-comedy TV show Glory Daze. Her other television credits include Castle, Hindsight Dead People, and Outcast.
