Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn (born Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn) is an American actor working in television, film, and theater. She is a talented thespian who is active in the professional world for the last 27 years. Her first professional role came in the year 1990 with an Off-Broadway production from The Big Funk, by John Patrick Shanley. The show was later adapted to her first role on television, The Perfect Tribute. In 1992, she received her big break when she played as a secondary character in Basic Instinct.
