Scarlett Johansson - American Actress and singer (born in NYC on the 22nd of November 1984) Her range of talents as an actor has garnered many accolades, from dramas of the past, to thrillers and even adventures. Johansson is the daughter of an architect and producer, was born in New York City. She and her twin brother Hunter were the youngest siblings of four. When she was just seven years old, she began casting for commercials on television. After that, she was enrolled in the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and later attended the Professional Children's School in Manhattan for further training in her craft. In the Off Broadway play Sophistry she co-starred with Ethan Hawke. She then had her first appearance in a film on screen in North (1994) and was produced by Rob Reiner, at age nine. Johansson later appeared as a character in Just Cause (1995), her debut occurred with Manny & Lo a coming of age film about sisters fleeing. The film, The Horse Whisperer, Johansson played a teenage victim of an horrific crash. The role she played in Ghost World brought her more fame as the outcast teen Rebecca. Smith got her first job as an actor at 6 years old, with the help of her parents. On a TV commercial in which she played Dannon Yogurt. Similar to numerous young actresses, she began her career in theatre. As she was making her stage debut in Wildflower she also worked on different projects across USA. She was a graduate of the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
